The CSL Cup - Why?

A lot of people have asked why we set up the CSL Cup..

A lot of people have asked why we set up the CSL Cup and what our motivation as a race team and road car tuning company was to take such a bold and financially risky move especially at a time when the financial market couldn’t be harder to create a new race series from scratch. So to answer these questions we thought we’d explain our motivation and our plans for the CSL Cup going forward.

Grid size increases to 10 for Donington!

BMSport and Privateer Duncan White to join the grid.

We should be welcoming two new cars to the grid for Donington - first is Duncan in his modified class car that he has been painstakingly building for last few weeks. It will be Duncans first race ever having only just got his ARDs sorted but he's got a fair bit of track experience so it should be great fun for him. Second car should be BM Sports own car that Jags has been preparing as they have time in the workshop.

With these two that ups the grid to 10 Cup cars so the series is growing. The comments from Brands Hatch were pretty identical - "best racing of the weekend" was one marshalls comments, even with only 8 cars there was a 5 car fight for the whole race with less than second covering them for most of the race, with another race in standard class a couple of seconds behind it was great to watch. With 2 more cars coming on the series is growing, not an easy task when all these cars are fresh builds.

We will again have the CSL Cup lounge for Donington so there are refreshments for all the teams and drivers as well as a place to keep out of the sun or rain and we'll be showing the races from the in car cameras straight after each race on a large 40" plasma. Should be a laugh.
